Poor Quality at a Premium Price
Both zippers broke over the course of 2 years. This is not a backpack for kids. Not durable at all. Save your hard earned money. I knew the lifetime warranty for Bean backpacks ended in 2017 but I read that in certain cases they would do an exchange. That is not the case. I was met with "when did you buy it? Sorry can't help you no exceptions". I spent 40% less on a backpack from a Bean competitor that has lasted 10 years plus and gets used way harder. This product is a hard pass.

Seems very nice!
After reading all the bad reviews about the handle coming apart, I bought this for my birding and art supplies and the handle appears to be well attached. Haven’t tested it out a lot yet though. I like all of the compartments and it fits my laptop nicely.

Handle Broke, but otherwise great
Like many have said, the top handle broke within the first few months of the school year. Previous reviews at the time didn't mention it so perhaps I got one from a bad batch. Wish I'd known it was an issue for this particular one since I was hard on my son for being too rough with it. Disappointing but we still got good use out of it for the rest of the year. We will probably attempt to repair it and keep it as an extra backup. My daughter also got one in a different style without any issues. Will not purchase this particular one again though.
