Have bought a few over the years for my boys. This last one I got for my younger son, the shoulder strap started fraying within a few weeks - bought another one and same thing happened . Bought the largest backpack for my older son- well- same issues!!! The shoulder strap started fraying. Had to get another one- used a few weeks and straps look like they have been through the Wringer

Great backpack.
I bought this bag to use as a small carryon on a recent trip. It is roomy and held 2 days worth of clothes plus my personal items. I used the cinch cord to hold my rain jacket and the two water bottle pockets were deep enough that they held my bottles securely. I didn’t use it for a laptop but the pocket is well padded for one. I also like the small compartment on the front to hold my tickets etc and keep them handy. The only suggestion on how to make this bag better would be to include the shoe compartment on the bottom like was on an old backpack that I purchased from LL Bean years ago. I am still using that bag but it lacks the water bottle pockets. If this bag had that shoe compartment it would be perfect in every way. Anyway, this is an awesome pack and perfect for travel.

Great color strong backpack
Very nice backpack which I will use. Unfortunately smaller than I needed for my trip which is why I bought it. No fault of LLBean or the backpack I just couldn’t tell from the website if it would work. It is a lovely color, strong, lots of areas to put things. Other than my one trip issue I’m happy with my purchase.

NOT FOR PLUS SIZE WOMEN
Overall a nice backpack. Unfortunately it will not work if you are plus size (1X or higher). The waist strap is not long enough and may not work for adults wearing winter coats or several layers.

Keep your receipt… just in case
Bought this backpack in September for my 7th grader to haul his binder and laptop to school everyday. By January the top handle broke. I was so fortunate to have found the receipt so I could exchange for a new one in-store and was fortunate to have found the last one still on the shelf. Hopefully the 2nd one lasts longer than the previous
