Best shoes I’ve ever owned
If I were trapped on a deserted island, these are the shoes I hope are with me. I’m an 8.5 in shoes and and 8.5 in these. They offer so much stability on the sides and transition easily from hiker to shoes around town. Now that I have these, I’m having a hard time deciding whether to take these or my more hard core Bean hiking boots when hiking in the mountains.

Solid for hiking but not overly bulky or heavy
I bought a pair of these Access hikers a couple of months ago and am buying a second pair to save for when the other wears out. They are sturdy, just wide enough in regular for my wider foot, and I love the orangey color. I am going to take them on a trip to Scotland, where I hope they will get me through both hikes and city walking. Glad to have the water resistance when going to a rainy place. I did also try the Trail Model X hikers, which do come in wide widths but are bigger and heavier.

Hiker with eyelets!
Fits true to size. Love that it has eyelets and not those stupid loops to lace up. And I really like the adobe red color, kinda funky.

Hiking Boot
Loved the boot but after walking around the house decided to leave them at home for our trip to Alaska. Believe me it’s not the boots, it’s more my bad feet.
