Not the old bayside twill...
I was trying to replace bayside twills, and this seems the closest. Fabric is nice, soft, but goes sort of sloppy after part of a day, not nice and neat-looking. Ok, but baysides were better... The mid-rise was too low for my comfort, but I stitched a piece of elastic into the back of the waistband, so made a "comfort waist". It brings the waist up high enough I don't have to shorten the legs. I'm buying two more because nothing else I've tried is a close, but if you are a bayside twill lover these will not excite you.

Not Comfortable
The 2% spandex has very little stretch. They look great while standing up but were uncomfortable while sitting, especially in the thighs. I would describe the legs as being "tapered". Also I'm short-waisted; the Mid-Rise hit my belly button, as expected.

I have several pairs of the shorts in this style. Love them too! Very comfortable AND good-looking. I read reviews that complained about stretching and bagging, I like the classic fabric and trim fit. And I guess I don’t object to some wrinkling.
