I wanted to love these…
…but the mid-rise is terrible for those of us with high waists. They feel as though they’re falling off. Please - let’s stop with the mid-rises! Or at least offer a version in a higher waist! Love the color choices, especially the indigo slate. Fabric seems nice - mostly cotton. But sadly, I can’t wear these. I know I’m not the only one who can’t. I tried on a pair in regular size 10, 30” inseam (which I would’ve hemmed to 29”; I’m petite but have long legs) I noted below that these pants are “too small”, but in actuality the rise is simply too short. Obviously, I didn’t purchase.

Wonderful material and feel, bad fit
The description for these pants states that they are "mid-rise" and "sits below waist." My question is, who's waist? Not mine. I purchased the regular fit AND the petite fit just to increase my chances that they would, in fact, sit either at or below my short, thick waist. The petite was slightly better but still above my waist. Let me explain what happens to short, thick waists when wearing pants that are not low or true mid-rise. The waist of the pants is too high, therefore, the biggest part of your gut is accentuated in the part of the pants below the button. I've been searching high and low for pants that sit either at my waist or slightly below, so I don't feel like my waist is right under my boobs, but these are not those pants. On a more positive note, the material is very nice...soft and feels high quality, so if you have a normal or long waist, these pants may be perfect for you.

Profile sizing runs large on this site for pants
I was not sure of sizing so ordered two different sizes, 10 and 8. Based on the L.L.Bean "personal profile sizing" with my weight & measurements, a 10 was recommended. 10 was too big, 8 was perfect. These were the only navy blue, classic-styled, cotton/stretch pants I could find that were not denim, or knit. They are very nicely made with beautiful finishing inside as well. The size 10 is being returned or exchanged for another color in size 8.
