Mostly gray. NOT black
You describe these boots as "dark black". This is totally misleading. The shoes are partially back but the toe section is gray. I kept them but was disappointed because I really wanted a dark black shoe. Your buyer needs to take a look at these again. You need to correct your product description. Although I like the style and quality i can't recommend this because the description is absolutely incorrect. See photo

Wonderful Shoe
I purchased them to hike and bike in The Netherlands last Spring and just love them. The fit was perfect from the start. They are excellent on slick/wet surfaces. I have hiked in them through Italy, France and Portugal. There is minimal wear on the soles. They have become my everyday shoes.

Great Outdoor Footwear
As my exercise routing has shifted from running to walking and hiking, I was looking for a sturdier shoe that provided better lateral support on uneven terrain. These hikers are just what I was looking for, they were comfortable from the first wearing and my feet and legs are not tired or sore after long walks.
