Not your old, favorite Bean Boot anymore
I am replacing my Bean Boots that I bought about 10 years ago. I loved them. But the new ones are made more cheaply and do not fit as well or look as good as the old style. They removed the metal reinforcements in the holes, and changed the cut of the tongue, obviously to make the shoe more cheaply, but it ruined the look. I’d rather pay another $10 and have the good construction! I guess I’ll keep them, because they are adequate, but the iconic LL Bean look is GONE. Very disappointing.

Reviews said order a size smaller. I ordered 1/2 size smaller and they were to big. The foot opening is too large to keep them in place. The shoe quality is great.

too wide in heel in wide width
I ordered a wide because I have wide feet, but the heels were much too wide. The toe box was just right, so I doubt I could wear a regular width. They are very cushiony, so they would be very comfortable if the width was right. I normally wear a 10 1/2 wide or 11 wide in running shoes. I ordered a 9 1/2 wide, based on the recommendation to size down one full size.

Comes in WIDE WIDTH
Love these practical boots. Since I have wide feet as a woman, 6.5D width it is almost impossible to purchase wide boots, slippers and shoes. LLBEAN is notorious in their shoe selection to only make a B width in most all their shoes, boots and slippers. Waited forever to purchase the cream and khaki. Now I want a pair in black!

I purchased a pair of women's rubber moc Bean boots (Smoky Blue colour) for my wife as a Christmas gift. Long story short, she couldn't wait until Christmas to wear them and she absolutely loves them....perfect fit, quality construction and sharp looking....what a combination !
