A seriously soft and substantial half-zip sweatshirt in a long-lasting cotton/polyester blend. Our heavyweight fabric is brushed on the inside for an extra-cozy feel.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.

Needs improvement
In November I bought this sweatshirt in navy and charcoal heather. Before wearing I washed each, no detergent, turned inside out, separately in my front loading washing machine. I dried them in my dryer on the air setting. It took 3 washings/dryings before they stopped shedding lint like fabric from the linings.
The navy sweatshirt has lost color and looks "worn" especially around the seams, in particular the seams around the sleeve cuffs and the kangaroo pockets.
This was not an issue with the charcoal heather sweat shirt.
As for charcoal heather sweat shirt I would recommend that L.L.Bean match the color of the lining with that of the sweatshirt. The lining is white and is quite noticeable when worn partially unzipped with the color turned down.

It’s hard to find a good sweatshirt no days!
