Bought these two weeks ago. Agree with review regarding the thumb and hand section being too tight to allow capturing and maintaining heat. Went with x-l figuring more room…still not enough. Writ this as I searched to see if they came in xx-l for more roominess like the gortex primaloft ski mitts. Will be returning these and try the gortex xx-l. Will let you know how those work out

Warm but weak
These mittens are beautiful and warm. Unfortunately they aren't very rugged.I don't think they're intended to be. I've used them pretty roughly for about a month or so now and the palms are showing wear.

I really want to like them, but am disappointed.
Dealing with the snow and cold of New England winters has always been a challenge to keep my hands and fingers warm. I truly had high hopes that these Puffer Mittens would finally be the answer. But alas, the tightness around my thumbs does not allow for natural body warmth to do its job, and the too low cuffs of the mittens just doesn't keep the cold winds and blowing snowblower snow from finding their ways up into my winter jacket sleeves. I'm disappointed, and still searching for something that works.

Warm mittens
These are very warm and might have worked, but the elastic around the wrist was tight (I don't have big wrists) and the cuff isn't long enough to slide over my sleeve and really seal out cold. I measured my hand and ordered a small. Maybe a medium would have worked better? Instead I fixed some mitts I already have and hope they'll work for another winter.

Best mittens for my walks
I recently wore these mittens when the temperature was in the 30s and my hands were pleasantly warm and comfortable.

perfect fit for Exlarge hands but a little thin
Walking the dogs for 45 minutes in the Midwest in the middle of winter gets cold. They feel kind of thin.

Not For Me
I did not care for the fit. I had to search to get my thumb in the thumb hole and did not feel they would be warm enough for what I needed the for.
