Comfortable
This sweater is very soft, mid weight and fits true to size. Only issue, it’s already starting to pill after one wash. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.

stop zippers on sweaters! your fabric shrinks!
Even when washed on cold the cotton from llbean always shrinks. The zippers come undone in the wash and they snag the sweater.

Thick & bulky!
I needed this for a trip to a chilly climate. Should have returned it but liked the style except the turtleneck is so high that I took it to my seamstress to restyle it smaller or it almost covered my mouth. Very thick so I looked fat with my jacket over it! Then I washed it - don’t even try! It becomes a very heavy mass that you can’t wring out. I tried spinning it in my washer but it kept making an unbalanced load. Finally threw in a few large towels to get it balanced and lay it to dry. It never regained its shape so it’s a total loss! It should be “dry clean only”. Biggest disappointment ever from LL Bean!

Poor quality
As soon as I took the sweater out of the package I was concerned about the fabric pilling. I was right. Two wearings and a wash and it’s pilling all over. Yes it is soft and the color is rich red but for $99 I expect better quality from LLBean. The zippers on the side seams at the hip are also unnecessary and annoying and just a poor design feature. If you want a cheap sweater, you can find something similar online from a well known mega retailer.

Cozy, good-looking sweater
I love the feel and look of this sweater. The turtleneck is long enough to fold in thirds, and my neck is fairly long, so it's really cozy.

Attractive, soft and warm...but
Attractive, soft and warm....but it picks immediately after two wears, several picks and I am not hard on clothes and do not even wear a full day, only had it on a couple hours each time. Appalled at the look of pills in a sweater, meaning now it cannot leave the house! Total waste of money.
