My Favorite Pants
Bought my first pair of these Barrel Pants in January of this year. They exceeded my hopes in fit, perfect weight fabric in a casual style that looks equally good dressed up. They never stretch out of shape or wrinkle as the day goes on, and in spite of constant wear, still look as good as new. I liked my Dusty Olive pants so much, I bought the Navy pants in April. In September my Barrel Pants are still my favorite pants and they still look as new as the day I bought them.

Wild sizing!
I own a wide-leg pair of jeans from LL Bean, which are a comfortable size 6. I’m regularly a size 28/6 in most jeans and very, very rarely a size 8. For a style called “barrellxl ir is wild how tight a size 6 in these jeans felt. My guess would be that I’d have to go up at least two sizes to get the kind of fit implied in the photos for these. Will be returning and likely not attempting a new size.

Beautifully Constructed, Not For Curvy
Quality of the fabric, construction of these pant were up to the old LL Bean standards we all once expected. Unfortunately, the very small waist with roomy hips and thighs is meant for a slim, straight figure. I have a curvy figure and wear a size 10 in Bean’s Signature Skinny jeans, but a size 10 in these were uncomfortably tight.

Perfect!
It’s not often that I buy something online and can say it is perfect! These pants are: the fabric has some weight (not flimsy); the color is as pictured; and most importantly it fit well through the waist and the hips and the legs are perfect for this newer style - neither too tight nor too floppy.

I was uncomfortable in this cut. The fabric and design are very good but not the fit for me. I think the leg combined with high waist does not flatter me.
