Quality seems good - time will tell
Quality and value seem to be good. Reviewing something without a fair amount of use is rather unfair to the consumer looking to buy the same product. Will revise the review after a few more hikes, if I remember.

It fits me!
I'm a small woman and noticed my shoulders hurt after hiking a few hours with a pack I picked up at a resale shop. That pack was man-sized and no matter how I adjusted the straps, it didn't fit my body. After using it for a year, my shoulders hurt. I decided it was time to invest in woman-sized pack. The Ridge Runner is perfect for me. It has plenty of storage compartments, and best of all, it fits my body.

Perfect pack for a day trip for a petite woman
I like this backpack a lot since it is small and has the waist and front back straps that helps distributes the weight. I am a petite senior woman that likes to go on one day hiking trips.

Comfortable, but water bottle pockets are terrible
I really like this backpack. It is comfortable and just the right size for day hikes. However, the water bottle pockets on the sides are cut too low. If I bend down my water bottles (I carry one for me, and one for my son) fall out of the backpack and into the dirt. This keeps happening. I wish the side pockets weren't so low cut and held the water more securely. I've never had this problem with a backpack before.
