They’re comfortable, but not truly slip on. The little tabs on the top of the back get pushed inside every single time I try to slip them on. So I have to manually pull that out or I’d get a blister.

Sizing is strange.
I tried on two sizes. The 8.5 was tiny...more like an 8 and the size 9 was huge and wider.....looks clumpy. I could hardly get my foot, which is average width, into the 8.5 it was both short and narrow. Comfort level is so so, average with little arch support. Since i got them on sale I will keep the size 9 but they are not my favourites. I wear 8.5 in all other sneakers from LLbean. I got the black. There is a strap but it is decorative and does not change the width.

Beautiful Shoes. I usually wear an 8.5 wide. These 8.5 normal width fit well and do not hurt my feet at all. Very comfortable. Also very good for April Mud season in Upstate NY!

Love the pulls
I purchased these shoes a few months ago. I’m happy with them. They have good arch support, great cushioning but still firm and stable. I love the soles, they grip well and seem like they will hold up. The upper is a stretchy material that accommodates my slightly wider left foot. The strap was a bit deceiving. It looks as though it is all one strap that wraps the foot diagonally. The diagonal strap is strictly decorative. The strap that goes straight over the arch is the only adjustable strap. Luckily the stretchy upper is snug enough to provide support. The pulls on the heel and top are perfect and necessary. So far, I like the shoes very much.
