Our comfortable, heritage-inspired colorblock flannel anorak is made of exclusive Scotch Plaid flannel fabric that's expertly brushed for incredible softness.
For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

So far, so good; a nice shirt
Got this on sale a couple of months ago (early summer), and have been wearing it on the occasionally cooler nights and now more often in early autumn, so these are first impressions.
The material is, as described, a pleasantly soft flannel. I'd say it's on the lighter side of mid-weight, but it seems fairly dense, so it's a bit warmer than one might expect. Over another thin layer, i'd say it would be comfortable down to the mid- to upper 50s if you're not moving around much.
I'm a fraction over 6 ft. tall, about a 44-inch chest, 36-inch waist and the fit is comfortably loose, but not baggy. Easily accommodates another thin or mid-weight layer underneath. Sleeve length is about perfect as is overall length.
As for details, the pass-through pouch pocket is generously size, and could easily hold some lightweight gloves. The chest pocket is on the smaller size. It will hold a cell phone, but the top sticks out. A nice touch is a thin-gauge, elastic bungie sewn into the bottom hem, with a couple of line locks incorporated on each side to allow you to drawn in the bottom hem. The sizing is such that the fit is pretty good there, so i don't anticipate using that feature much.
The hood is a good size all around. The same type of elastic bungie used in the bottom hem is also used around the edge of the hood opening, so you can draw it in a bit, but there are no line locks to hold it place. It would be easy enough for the user to add these, but it would have been nice if they were included. The metal snaps on the sleeves, neck, and chest pocket connect and disconnect easily enough, yet hold well.
I've only worn this a dozen or so days for "casual" use, and washed it twice, so i can't say much about durability, so i'll hold back a star just for that. I will say that there's no sign of any pilling yet, and the fabric doesn't seem likely to snag or develop runs. I didn't notice any shrinkage from washing.
Happy with the purchase so far, and a good value at the sale price.

Freaking Great
First off, I am not really much of the reviewing type, but this has got to be the most comfortable shirt/hoodie. It's light/medium weight, the snap buttons are well made, and it's perfect for fall. All and all, it's a instant go to.
