XL way better than 1X
1x is not the same as xl. I thought (from experiences with other items from elsewhere) that it would be but not close. I had to tighten the drawstring a lot to keep them up - whereas with xl I could just use the elastic. And WHY does it need that annoying bit of rubbery logo on the lower left leg?

Love these pants ....except
I love everything about these pants, soft, lightweight, great comfortable fit,,,,except for the ridiculous logo sticker at the bottom of the legs! It's not so bad on the black pair where it does not show much, but horrible on the gray. If they had more black in my size, I'd buy 2 more, even with the stupid logo sticker!
