pleasantly surprised...
...by a couple of things: it fits! I am tall (5'10", with long arms) and I ordered this because I wasn't able to find a nice coat in women's tall sizes. It is long enough in both the body and the sleeves, and the "waist" (nice feature, it being cinchable for warmth and looks) hits me pretty much at my waist. Other things I like about it: comfortable, light-weight, good zipper, good hood (not too huge). I live in Boston, and this will be my go-to coat for fall, spring, and most winter days as well. (I have a very heavy coat for those frigid days!) I ordered a large in this instead of my usual medium, so that I can wear a heavy sweater underneath. I just walked a mile with a warm sweater and this coat, and I was just warm enough despite it's being 15 degrees today with the windchill.
All in all, a winneer.

Stylish and a savvy spend
This is such a flattering and elevated jacket at a reasonable price. This color is lovely and goes with so many winter styles. It’s a medium weight so I’m expecting it to be a great jacket for the transition in fall and spring.

Bean's Cozy Quilted Coat Women's Plus
It's pretty nice and I love how light weight it is. However the zipper took some figuring out and the sleeve cuffs are pretty loose, which would let the cold and wind in. I wish there were a way to adjust the width of the cuffs so that I could tighten them. It's just simple elastic.

Quilted Coat
I love this Coat. Initially bought a Small, but needed more room for a fleece under it. It is much warmer than I anticipated. What attracted me was the color Navy.......with subtle GOLD trim.......and the usual LL Bean ad is at the hem of the coat and tiny!!!! Love it!

Very Tight and Very Light
Not worth the money, after 20 years of buying LL Bean coats, I will be buying a coat from somewhere else.

Bad zipper
I really needed a coat like this, warm but not overwhelming....The zipper did not work. They graciously sent me another one. That zipper did not work ! Returned this one and got a full refund

Nice style but....
I liked the style of this coat, but the material is very thin. A good late spring/early fall coat as I found it not very warm. I keep the pockets unsnapped because the material in the pockets the snaps are attached to will rip easily pulling them open as the fabric is very thin. I decided to keep it, but felt it was a tad overpriced for the quality.
