I am of a slim build but bought a medium because I wanted comfort and not any tightness. These were a bit snug in the calves for a medium. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

Not made to lastI bought these along with the crew top in Jan 2023. Since we have had mild winters (until now) I have only worn them 4 or 5 times, yet they are full of holes. I expect better quality for this price.

Perfect! The merino wool is cozy warm and not scratchy. They fit snuggly as this type of clothing should. Line dry fairly quickly. Our sub-zero weather this past week has provided amble testing of their warmth under other winter gear.

Fabulous base layer!these are a fabulous base layer! I live in the upper midwest and bought them to wear under my scrubs to make it through those winter night shifts. They’re the perfect base layer IMO. They are long enough (I’m about 5’7”) and keep me warm without being to bulky annd they launder beautifully. I wash them in cold and hang to dry but they dry really quickly. I actually bought these last winter and they’ve held up well!

Excellent for winter activity base layerI now have two pairs of these tights. They are thin but add an important warmth layer. I wear them in New England for winter hiking. Usually I wear a sturdy and/or water resistant pant over the top. They are stretchy. They are very comfortable. They are too thin to wear as leggings into a coffee shop after the hike (unlike the Bean Cresta wool long johns which are thick enough for that). I am 5'9 and I like mobility while hiking so I personally cut these leggings off at the knee to make them knickers, because then I have winter socks and boots on so my shins are not cold). It says a lot for the fabric that I can cut them and they do not unravel. Most people won't cut them but it is still good to know they are well constructed. The fabric feels soft and does not snag on dry skin. They are lightweight but do not seem unusually fragile. I give this product a top rating for sure but also mention that the Cresta midweight tights might be better for certain scenarios. For example I hike with these ultralight tights but when I camp overnight in the snow, I am wearing the midweight wool tights in my sleeping bag, or under down pants around camp.

Wonderful wool, lovely colorI enjoy wearing these Cresta wool with the comfortable wide flat elastic waistband. These blue ones are a very nice color, good change from the black and gray ones I already have.
