Warm But Not Bulky
I wanted a down jacket (I don't know why this is called a sweater) that is not shiny bulky nylon with a bright logo on the chest. This is it! Also I like the zip up collar that keeps my neck warm.It's great.The pull on the zipper could be better (bigger).

Good design but wearing out very quickly.
This is a jacket not a sweater. More or less light despite the fact that it is down filled. It's Ok for a cool but not cold day. The size , shape, materials , color etc. may be be my favorite overall design for a jacket that I have ever had. I have gotten very good comments about the appearance .
But it is wearing out very quickly, which is disappointing. As mentioned in another review, the sleeve seams and all the exterior cloth along the arms are tearing and really just falling apart. Looks like it's been worn for 10 years instead of 3 months. I won't return it because I like to wear it despite the wear. Very comfortable. I may buy another one just so I can have one that looks good. But I can't recommend it. Most LL Bean things last decades not months.

Very pleased with this coat sizing allows for layering and have done as a result of the cold we are experiencing in Michigan. Recommend the coat based on price and quality.

A versatile & warm jacket for cold days of winter
This is a really good jacket. Warm and comfortable. I got it prior to a Holiday trip to Dublin and it held up nicely in the cold, wet, windy days of Dublin in December with lots of walking outdoors. My only feedback is I wish the side pockets were zipped instead of buttoned. Additional zipped pockets would also be a nice addition.

Great Jacket
This is a great jacket and very warm. I especially like the outer material which is heavier than most down jackets, it shouldn’t rip easily like the brand new jacket I replaced this one for. good pockets but would like one additional interior pocket.

Bigger and warmer than expected
I'm glad I followed the advice of people who usually wear mediums to order a small, which fits like a medium on me. It's a nice-looking coat. It is warmer than I expected. I've worn it in single digit cold and was perfectly comfortable. A couple of minor complaints--it's sometimes hard to zip up and the fabric attracts a lot of lint for some reason.

Like the jacket but not holding up
Jacket is only a couple months old but looking like we’ve had it for years. Small tears all along the arm seams and cuffs. Not living up to its durability description.
