Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased With This Tent I am a 5'3" woman in my 60's and had no problem setting this tent up by myself. I chose this tent for the straight walls & magnetic door. Plenty of headroom, easy in & out during the day and easily zips shut at night. I was very pleased with how well it worked out. I purchased the Adventure 4 person footprint as another review recommended and it fit perfectly. I just put the tent corner poles through footprint corner rings. The floor stayed dry after some rain despite a puddle that formed in a low spot between the footprint & floor. It showed damp but didn't soak through even though it sat there for 24 hours. After reading some reviews about the floor, I decided to be careful and put down a blanket because of the cot legs. So far, no problems with my 1st 1 week trip. Enough room for a second cot without being crowded, storage under the cot. I was very comfortable in this tent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed to hold up after two weekend trips First, the positive, the taller height with a small footprint worked great for our needs. We intended to use it for my teenage child and a friend while camping. It assembles in minutes. As with most tents, the "4-person" rating is WAY overstated, and you can, at best, fit two people plus gear. It's not a huge surprise or a big deal; I've camped my entire life, and this has always been the case. So, I planned accordingly. I am incredibly disappointed because one of the fly clips broke on the first use. I have no idea how. It was still functional, and I had to use it on a second trip a few weeks later. My major complaint is the tent bottom is thin, useless tent material- I have no idea why tent makers do this as it doesn't hold up; that said, I always use a super heavy-duty tarp underneath to protect the bottom from small rocks, pebbles, etc. Usually, the tarp helps with this problem; this is not the case with this tent. While the tarp underneath the tent remained intact, the tent bottom had a hole in it after two weekend trips. On top of that, we encountered a classic White Mountain nighttime summer storm, during which the top of the tent held up fine (even with the broken clip, we had also sealed the entire tent for UV and rain protection if we hadn't, not sure it would have held up). However, the bottom of the tent (even with the tarp under it) was still penetrated by rainwater, causing puddles inside and soaking much of the gear inside. Needless to say, this tent will not last more than the four short trips we have planned this summer. That is NOT what I expect of LL Bean products. I am very disappointed with the tent and do NOT recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to love this tent. I wanted to love this tent. The magnetic door was the big attraction. I used it on three trips for a total of 12 nights. While taking it down that last day I realized the plastic corner pieces where the poles connect were ripping out of the tent. To repair them would mean further taking the water proofed seams apart. I loved the tent otherwise. Being able to stand up inside, the magnetic door, and easy assembly. So disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tent! It has alot of room and stands up to winds well! It accepted my cot easily. My previous tent was literally a bear for getting my cot inside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A new take on an old classic Easy to assemble and lots of headroom. The door feature is very convenient for having a younger child. No leaks during blowing rain storm. Grew up with a tent very similar when I was a small child (no magnet door) from LLBean that lasted well into my 20's. I will gladly add another star when this one gets past its first decade of use. The materials are lighter then the 80's legend I had which makes it easier to carry and transport, but we'll see how that affects durability?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We like it a lot. We wanted a new tent that we could stand up in for camping. Putting on my pants while laying on my back and crawling out the opening on all fours. While our next trip is Acadia/Bar Harbor in two weeks we needed a tent for Amateur Radio field day. We set the tent up with a 6' folding table, 3 folding chairs and a bunch of radio gear. It was comfortable, the swing open door convenient and it has a cable pass thru. Everyone could fully stand up, even away from the edges.. So...10x10, a full door, and over '6 tall. Late night trips to the loo with be easy. It goes up quickly. It is heavy, and bowing some poles requires some strength.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heavy tent A sturdy tent, but way too heavy for my interest. It has 10 poles to assemble and they are heavy tubes with no elastic cord inside. It takes 2 people about 35 miutes or so to put up and double that to take down. It is a good tent for car camping only, as it weighs a whopping 22 pounds. I love the LL bean name and quality but this tent is a beast, needlessly. There are plenty of lightwiehgt dome tents for less money than this one.
