- Durable water-repellent finish is applied to the fabric so water simply rolls off.
- In a quick-dry, breathable blend of 95% nylon and 5% spandex that resists abrasion, wash after wash.
- Spandex adds two-way vertical stretch for all-day comfort.
- UPF 50+ fabric blocks at least 97.5% of the sun's UV rays - ten times more than a white cotton tee.

Sizing is a smidge inconsistent.
I thought I would like these pants, and I do. When I ordered, LLBean had 5 colors available in size 4 - one in regular length and 4 in medium/tall. The regular length is fine, but the medium/tall length is better for me. Across all pairs, the waist size is a smidge inconsistent. Not enough to change the size but enough to notice. This is probably due to when the fabric is cut and their is a slight drift in the cutting blade as it slices through the layers of fabric. I am keeping all 5 pairs. I have washed and worn them all multiple times and they still look new.

Good hiking pants
These are good hiking pants that I can also wear in in-between weather in place of khakis. They are stretchy and have good pockets and fit me well. The color is one of those useful but unexciting ones that goes with many things.
