Our original SunSmart™ apparel, Tropicwear was first introduced in 1992 to protect destination anglers from the hot tropical sun. Customers quickly discovered Tropicwear wasn't just for fishing, using it for just about anything outdoors. It's been updated with a better fit, new stretch woven fabric that's softer and better ventilation. Best of all, Tropicwear still provides UPF 50+ sun protection, or about 10 times more than a white cotton tee.

I wanted to like it so bad!
I really wanted to like this shirt... so much so I bought three colors at once. This shirt does not breathe. I took these on several trips abroad anticipating both hot and cool weather. It's a fail for me in hot weather because it doesn't wick away moisture. Big let down. It does dry quickly though... so that's at least a plus.

I love these shirts comfortable classic. I love being able to wear it as a long sleeve or short sleeve. Colors are perfect for summer travel. Love the baby blue color and the pink.

The Perfect Outdoor Shirt!
This shirt is exactly what I need for both sun protection and keeping cool at the same time. I wore it on a recent fishing trip and it was very comfortable. I like the tabs which allow you to roll up your sleeves. I ordered the rust color and am very pleased with it. Thank you, LLBean!

Good choice
This is my third of these; have used them since 2012. This time I first ordered it in regular XL but it was much too large; I rechecked an older one I have in XL - fit fine. I swapped for a regular L which is just right. I don't understand the discrepancy in sizing unless it was simply mislabeled at the factory. These are comfortable and long-lasting and really reduce the amount of sunscreen lotion needed.

Fabric. No zippered pocket
The fabric and fit are good for hot days. The one improvement I suggest is to bring back the zippered chest pocket.
