We've made the chino more comfortable than ever, in soft-washed cotton chambray with stretch for ease. In a versatile ankle style with a drawstring elastic waist that's easy to pull on and looks great too.
It's not easy to make a classic even better, but we did. First, we added a touch of stretch to traditional cotton and washed it for exceptional softness and ease. Then, we added a full elastic waistband for comfort worthy of lounging and style ready for any occasion.

I washed the chambray reg size ankle pants as instructed and they did not seem to shrink, used cold wash and careful with clothes dryer. I am 5ft 2in, wt 138. Ordered size 12 in reg length, I normally wear petites but I wanted the length to be a pant length and they turned out to be a perfect length that I wanted. They did not look like they needed to be ironed which I hate to do and a lot of LLBean clothes tend to need ironing. Color blue was nice, and they felt comfortable. Prices have increased and I feel their clothing are overpriced.

Fabric too stiff, too tight in hip area
The “perfect fit” style that LLB uses a LOT doesn’t fit me. I tired these pants but the usual problem—too much fabric in the waist and too little in the hips. Also, I thought the fabric would be more of a summer weight but it was thick and stiff. Returned.

very comfortable
just what I was looking for - with arthritis keeping me from jeans, zippers + buttons, I wanted something to wear like I used to wear jeans - I love the pockets - the waist is not too tight - I have scoliosis + my stretchy brace fits well under these - I'm very happy - I have 2 pair now chambray + dark chambray which is similar to my old jean color. Thanks so much - LLBean to the rescue again!
