What’s with the bizarre logo on the leg?
I bought these pants knowing they didn’t have all the features I look for in everyday/active pants, but with my favorite Comfort Trail pants being discontinued and needing new pants I had to try some other options.
As others have said, they run large. Actually, as at lease one reviewer mentioned, the fit and proportion is just weird. It feels like there is too much fabric in some places. They don’t feel like they are going to fall down or anything, but on me they look like I’m wearing ill-fitting pants. I am going to return to the store and try a size down, but I have a sense they will be too small. I hope I’m wrong because in a more proportioned fit, I think I might almost like them. Not as a replacement for pants with lots of pockets for hiking and gardening and other activities, but as an in between pant to wear hanging out in the yard training my dog or going on a picnic.
One thing I’m definitely not a fan of is the way the L.L. Bean logo is affixed near the bottom of the left leg. I suspect it’s an attempt to be subtle, but if so it’s not working! It just comes across as a gummy, sticky blob that from some angles looks like an oily stain and seems cheap. This would keep me from wearing these pants to an office or to a nicer restaurant — but otherwise they would almost be able to pass because they’re generally simple in design.

Disappointing.
Did not like the fabric. It was too slinky, almost like pajama pants.
Also, there was a sticky residue round spot near the hem, about half an inch in diameter, like there had been a sticker or label on it. Even if the fabric had been to my liking, I would have returned it because of that spot.

Pants for shorter people!
I bought these for the cropped length, because I always have to hem the regular length pants. (I WISH you carried plus sized petites!)
The fit is great, and I am interested in any new colors.
The only problem I have is that the pockets are not quite deep enough. My cell phone does not always stay in the pocket. That is why I took off one star from my review.
