This hard-wearing, but soft, fleece-lined heavyweight hooded sweatshirt will keep the cold out and the warmth in year after year.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.
- 91% cotton, 9% polyester.
- 100% polyester fleece lining; sleeves are lined with 100% polyester taffeta.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Body is lined with soft berber fleece for extra warmth and comfort.
- Triple-needle stitching adds durability.
- Taffeta-lined sleeves for easy on/off.
- Specially-designed hood fits well even over a baseball cap.
- Locker loop.
- Zip front.
- Underarm gussets for added mobility.
- Front pockets, one with interior security pocket.
- Ribbed trim at cuffs and hem.

The best!!
This hoodie is one of Bean's finest products. My husband has four of them, and wears one every day (all day!) in the winter. Very warm and cozy, washes well with no shrinkage, looks great on him. Don't ever stop making these!

Warmest hoodie I've ever owned
This lined hoodie is comfortable and snugs your body. Really cold weather right as I'm typing this and this fleece is perfect for under the coat and even without the wind would be warm by itself. Deserves my 5 star rating, length and fit are true to size

Nice for my use
This is listed under sweatshirts, but it looks like and functions as a jacket to me. I was looking for a cold weather jacket with a hood, and I happened to be looking at everything under men and came across this jacket. I just got it a couple of days ago, just in time for very cold and snowy weather. I like it because it looks like every jacket I've owned. Lots of new jackets have zippered pockets and a zippered chest pocket or two. I am not into that. I wear an XL and this has plenty of room. Yesterday I wore it running errands with a lightweight sweatshirt underneath and was comfortable in 12-degree weather. I just got in from shoveling snow and cleaning off my car in light rain. I had a base layer tee shirt and light weight sweatshirt underneath and was comfortable. I wore a baseball cap under the hood, and it didn't move at all. Along with my bean boots I wasn't cold or wet. My hands got wet and cold, but I wasn't wearing my L.L. Bean gloves. I switched the gloves out to LL Bean gloves, and I will see how they perform this week. I am ordering a second jacket, but the color I want is not in stock so once I am notified it is in stock, I will purchase.
