Messy stitching, no lining, quality fabric
This is such an old design that I doubt LL Bean will make any changes. With that said, as a seamstress myself, I was disappointed with the stitching. It was messy and unfinished. And the white thread on navy canvas showed it all. The handle and canvas were exceptional quality, but with no interior lining, the bag just felt unfinished.

Top Notch Tote
This is the best canvas bag I have ever had! The canvas is very heavy duty and the leather straps are very attractive and strong. I have used it many times and it still looks like new. The color is just right for this time of the year (Sept-Nov) but the strength, capacity and craftsmanship of this bag will also work for other seasons of the year.
