Weird Sizing
I would like to comment on the sizing as I found it quite strange. I normally wear a size 9.5-10. Following the directions to size down, I ordered both the Flannel-Lined Bean Boots and the Chelsea Bean Boots, in size 9.5. When I tried them on, the Flannel-Lined Bean Boots were way too small and the Chelsea Bean Boots were so big they were falling off my feet! So I tried again and ordered the Flannel-Lined Bean Boots in a size 10 and the Chelsea Bean Boots in a 9. They both fit perfectly. How it is possible that the same brand, supposedly same sized boots, are a whole size different, I have no idea! But hopefully this helps someone else.

Too narrow
I read so many reviews before I purchased these because I wanted to make sure they were the right size. I sized down as was suggested. Unfortunately I should not have sized down and the worst part was that they are very narrow boots. I have average size 6.5 feet...I never have to buy wide shoes in anything, ever. These are too narrow and my feet felt scrunched. Please make wide sizes going forward or reevaluate your sizing. I wanted to like them, but had to return.

They're comfortable!
I always thought these would be stiff and uncomfortable, but I was wrong! They have plenty of flex and a nice padded footbed. I treated myself to these as a year-end reward, and got them a little early because there was a store-wide sale. I shopped in store and though I am usually drawn to lighter browns, I liked the traditional brown best in these. The light brown in the store had a little spot on it already, which reminded me how many of my past and present light leather shoes have accumulated marks over the years. I am in the Midwest and tried both the fleece and the flannel, and chose the flannel because I think the fleece would be too warm for a good part of Autumn (for me at least). These are also very clearly several notches up in quality and insulation than my similar Sperry boots. I am normally a solid size 10, occasionally smaller in a sandal. The woman working started me in a size 9, which felt too snug. The size 9.5 also felt too snug - both in the toe box but also the length. The size 10 was perfect. I was wearing running socks during try on. So, it sounds like *most* people should size down, but for me they are true to size. I'm very excited to wear them through the seasons ahead!
