Good winter boot.
The boots are as advertised, light, comfortable and stand up to the weather but as a lot of reviewers talked about they are tough to get on an off with the lacing system. I took the advice of some reviewers who added D-rings and that made all the difference. With the addition of 3/4inch D-rings to the lacing system they can can come on an off easily.

Great boot with an asterisk
I just recently purchased these boots but was skeptical because many reviews said they did not remove easily. It looks like the lacing system was designed to not loosen which made them a little time consuming to remove or put on. One reviewer mentioned he solved the problem by purchasing "D" ring and replacing them in the lacing slots. I liked the boot because it was light weight and insulated so I purchased them and also bought one inch "D" rings .I also put them in the slots and it made a huge difference.
Great boot, good price, nice and light weight, warm and comfortable and now easy to put on and remove.

Great once modified
These are attractive boots, lightweight and very soft inside. However, the lacing is horrible, LLBean should have foreseen this issue. After seeing another buyer added D-Rings ($6 from a well known online retailer) to them, I decided to do the same. These are for my 17 year old son and he actually thinks they look even better with the bronze D Rings. With the boots on sale it was worthwhile to modify them.

Impossible to lace
Laces are so tight in the loops, they cannot be loosened or tightened, therefore they take a very long time to put on. You will find yourself picking at the lace at every single loop to loosen and then again to tighten. That's all you need to know. A terrible design, do not buy them.

Light weight boots for the win!
My husband loves his new boots! He says they are very light weight and easy to get on and off. We bought 2 sizes for him to try and ended up going with the 1/2 size bigger.
