My favorite nightgown but…
Love the nightgown. This is my third one. This is the only one that I’ve had to repair after the second wash. The hem stitching came undone. Easy enough to repair but should not have had to do it this soon. I sized up based on other reviews. I prefer nightgowns to be a little loose. I will probably buy another one.

A Nightgown For All Seasons.
I’ve been wearing Bean’s Supima Nightgowns for years. I buy the shorter ones for spring and summer and the longer ones for cooler weather…I love that they’re soft, not itchy, keep me cool on warm nights and yet warm on cold night. They don’t fade with washing, but they do shrink by a full size if dried in a dryer. So, I buy up by 2 sizes because I do like them looser. I am disappointed that the weight of the fabric is less substantial. I noticed this change in the supima cotton tees as well. But if you like a more substantial supima cotton nightgown or tee, well, they can be found for half the price at a competitor. As a very loyal Bean shopper, I hope Bean brings back quality materials.

Sizing is way off
I’ve been buying these nightgowns for years, and have several in different colors and patterns. They’ve always been my favorite! I love these. This was a replacement for one that wore out. I had been looking forward to it.
But then it turned out it’s not the same size as any of the others! It’s supposed to be an XLarge, and the label says XLarge, but it’s more like a large, or even medium! I can barely squeeze into it. Even the sleeves are uncomfortably tight. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. It is definitely not the same size as the other XLarge ones I have.
On top of that, it came with a weird chemical smell that hasn’t completely washed out. The material is thinner, too. The quality has gone downhill since I bought the others. So disappointing! I washed it without trying it on first, because I’ve been buying these for years. It never occurred to me the sizing would suddenly dramatically change. Guess I just threw away the money for this one.

Good and comfy night gown
This nightgown was just what I wanted. It’s comfy and not hot at night. I ordered a size up because I hate tight sleep clothes. It’s also a comfy dress to wear around the house.
