Nice sweater but awkward fit
I love the color and fair isle design. However the fit is off. I am 5’4” with a large bust and “thick” middle. Based on other reviews, I ordered a Large Petite and it fits pretty well.

Nice fitting sweater but arrived pilly
I ordered this sweater in two colours one in the teal for a gift which looks great, the other in the brown for myself. The brown sweater looks worn on the sleeves. I will have to run a razer over the sleeves to remove the pilly look. I like the way the sweater fits me so I will keep it but if I had seen it like this in the store I would not have bought it unless it was discounted.

Cute and comfy
I'm so pleased that LL Bean still offers cotton sweaters; I never wear ones made from acrylic, polyester, and/or nylon. This sweater fits me perfectly, and I got a compliment from a stranger the first day I wore it!

Beautiful Cotton Sweaters....That Shrink
I have a love-hate relationship with this sweater -- now my 4th cotton funnel neck fair isle from LLB in as many years. I think I finally got it right but had to SIZE UP 3 SIZES to do so, due to annoying shrinkage. Having just retired I am OVER babysitting my clothes in the washer/dryer. I want to wear it, wash it, and wear it again without timers, mid-cycle stretching, draping damp items over chairs, and re-fluffing to get the softness back. I am 5'7" and weigh 185-190. I still have an athletic build but have acquired a mid-life paunch after a sedentary job and 2 new knees. I am a size XL or 16, XL or large at J Jill, and 2-3 at Chicos. In order to accommodate the shrinkage on these sweaters....I finally opted for the 3X in red. I washed it in VERY warm water (it didn't run!) then dried it 100% as I don't like the "crunch" of air-dried clothing. It easily shrunk 1 to 2 sizes....which is exactly what I intended. It is now smaller than the 2X. I picked up just in case While my former vision for the cotton raggs was long and slender, I have ultimately settled on the looser weekend/boyfriend look, which I actually like very much with leggings and boots. I guess it all depends on your purpose for this garment, and your tolerance for hanging out by the washer and dryer. Finally -- LLB -- you just don't seem to get it right in the sleeve length department. Not only are your regulars too short, but you offer far too few talls in womens clothing (CLUE: they sell out first). My 5'8" daughters gave up on you long ago for this exact reason. It's like you think women are all either lean and svelt....or short and squatty. In case you haven't noticed....too-short sleeves on a larger woman make her look heavier. Go back to your drawing board please, because American women are more "substantial" than they were 50 years ago. AND, we rely on you for high-quality, natural fibers which often shrink no matter how much we BABYSIT them! It's up to you to account for shrinkage in the design and fabrication phases so we can take that annoying step out of our busy lives. And please, pre-wash your garments.

Wanted to love it
The teal sweater is gorgeous but unfortunately very small through the body. I normally wear a medium in LLB but it was too tight in the torso. (Maybe this was sized wrong?)

Perfect cotton sweater!
This sweater is even more beautiful than the photo. I bought the teal green version and got so many compliments when I wore it on Thanksgiving. I usually prefer turtlenecks but took a chance on this because of the color and am glad I did. It runs small; I ordered my usual size S and had to exchange for a medium. I can’t wear wool because my sensitive skin can’t tolerate it, so I’m always on the hunt for cotton sweaters. This one checks all the boxes.
