Roomy and Light
I first used my suitcase on a 4 week road trip to North Carolina. I got everything in the bag with room to spare. The bag fit nicely in to my SUV and was easy to lift for a senior. I wanted something smaller than the large heavy suitcases I used in the past yet have enough room for all my essentials. This bag fits those requirements to a tea.

Convenient bag with very good Capacity
This is a convenient bag with the two zippered compartments holding clothing securely. It holds a lot and is easy to maneuver. The top handle is a sturdy fabric but we'd like it to be more substantial. We pair this checked bag with a backpack to carry on and it works well for traveling.

I dont know who decided to label this as a large, it is the same size as the old medium and the medium is actually a carry on. There is no extra large which used to be the large size. It should be labeled Medium . And there needs to be an extra large.

rolling duffel replacement👍
Decades ago I was the happy owner of an LLBean rolling duffel, the super large size in purple. I referred to it as “Moby Grape.” It traveled a lot. Gave it to a niece to go off to college. Then I bought this suit case & just came back from a three week adventure to far away places. A total of ten flights & airports. And this case has survived nicely….a bit of dust, but otherwise fine. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the ‘clamshell’ opening. Yes, it is easier to find things, but most hotels do not have luggage racks adequate to hold it flat. So it became a bit of a hassle.

good bag until wheel jammed
We used this bag for a month long travel in Europe. It worked very well with the multiple handles etc. Problem arouse when rock got jammed in the wheel housing and stopped the wheel. Within 50 metres or so the wheel had flattened on one side and when freed it no longer runs smoothly. When requested a replacement wheel none were available. Spare parrts should be stocked.
