Lose the hood and it's perfect
I love this robe so much EXCEPT THE HOOD. Why do they insist on ruining nice clothes with a useless hood? If I'm reclining it gives me a huge crick in the neck. I wish I could cut it off but it's super sewn in. Otherwise it's such a nice, soft robe. STOP WITH THE HOODS

Not as cozy as it used to be, but still good
I purchased this bathrobe for myself and for a friend a few years ago and it is the coziest, thickest robe I've ever owned. I just got the faded raisin for another friend and it's not the same. It has the extra plush lining on the cuffs and in the hood, but the rest of it is simply just one layer of fleece. It's still soft and cozy, but not nearly as warm or as thick as it was.
Sadly, they picked a medium (with a monogram) instead of the large that I ordered. The color is pretty, but I don't know what I will end up deciding on. Maybe the flannel and fleece bathrobe.
