This exclusive scotch plaid flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.
- Made of high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.

Outer fabric is too thin and disappointing
The outer fabric is much too thin and is pilling already after one gentle wash in cold water. It appears to have been cheapened. Evidently the emphasis on "softness" has replaced the LL Bean substantial fabric quality, which is my expectation and the reason for purchasing this brand. I am disappointed in the general quality of the garment and I don't believe it will hold up. On a positive note, the colors are pretty and the sherpa lining is warm.

I wanted to love this…
I wanted to love this so much, but I feel like the sherpa adds an unattractive bulk for me! I ordered my true size, and the shoulders fit well.

Disappointed
I saw a picture of this shirt in your "Only the Best Gifts" catalog (page 215) and liked the plaid. But when I went on line to find it, that color wasn't listed. (It appeared to be an Angus plaid -- you know -- like Angus King. Independent!). I would recommend the shirt IF you like the color choices available.

Perfect - Except for Imperfect Size
Loved everything about this shirt - the fabric, the lining, the colors, the plaid. But the shoulders were too broad and the sleeves too long for my 5'2," small-boned frame. I hope a size Petite XX Small will be offered next year

Love it but....
This is my third Sherpa Lined shirts. Although I absolutely love this shirt I feel that it is now way to pricey, $79 (one sale). My first 2 had the Sherpa lining in the sleeves but this newer version does not. It fits fine and it is warm. It's the first thing I put on on a cold morning.
