Kept my lower body nice and warm under snow pants
I wore these under snow pants on a trip to see the Northern Lights, where the temperatures were well below zero. They worked great, and were also cozy to wear as comfortable pants around our lodging.

Guaranteed warmth
I live in the midwest and bought these to wear on daily 5 mile walks - I bought a size small which is large on me - 5'4" and 105 lbs. - but I did so purposely so I could layer underneath and still feel like I could walk the distance. They are THE BEST! Soft and warm and great wind blockers. Somedays I do wear a layer under, but that is not on the coldest days - more on high wind days. I am so happy I found these. Love the elasticized ankle that is great for fitting in a boot or keeping wind and snow out.

Not the same
Last year I purchased two pairs, a navy and a black, of these fleece pants. I wear them around the house in winter because they are warm and comfortable. Last month I went to my local LL Bean store and bought another black pair in the same size. At home, I discovered that they did not fit the same as my old ones. The front crotch seam is an inch and a half shorter and the back seam is an inch shorter. This makes a big difference in the fit. I went back to the store and tried on another pair, same thing. I am very disappointed because these were great pants.

Super cozy, cold weather pants!
These pants are super cozy! They have become one of my favorite outdoor pants - whether I’m running errands in the cold, or sitting outside by a campfire, these are great! I’ve washed them numerous times, and there hasn’t been any issues with piling. I would definitely purchase these again!
