These jogger sweatpants live up to their name - in french terry that's smooth on the outside and softly looped on the inside for wonderful texture and remarkable comfort. The closer-fitting style works especially well with tunics and longer tops.

I now understand the variation in the reviews
From my Christmas list, I received a pair of the Ultrasoft Joggers MPetite Black Coffee and loved them. Nice trim fit, nice feel to the fabric, not a heavy sweat pants but more light weight to wear in chilly weather not freezing. I was so happy with the pair I received that I decided to order two additional pairs in a LPetite for looser fit for curling up inside at night. So I ordered a pair of LPetite in both Classic Navy and Black Coffee.
Just got them and the Navy is exactly what I envisioned. A loose fit but not sloppy with a nice silhouette and fit is great enough that I will probably also wear these to run errands.
The LPetite Black Coffee is NOTHING LIKE THE OTHERS. The pants are not Ultrasoft - they are UltraTHIN. The pants are ill fitting, sloppy and cheap looking because the fabric is so thin & has no body to it. It appears to be a cheap thin woven material and NOT sweat material. The difference in quality is so bad that the only thoughts I have is that LL Bean switched Manufacturers, or that unbeknownst to LLBean, the Manufacturer switch to a cheaper material because of running out of the thicker fabric or switch to a cheaper material to increase the Manufacturer's profit, or the Manufacturer outsourced to someone else in order to make production deadlines and there was no quality check.
Whatever the reason, what remains is that there is no quality checks and the customer can no longer rely on receiving quality goods. It's turn into a hit or miss situation even for the same items. The Classic Navy was a hit, the same size item in Black Coffee a total miss. The quality difference is just so overwhelming!
