Our newest upland hunting vest features classic waxed-cotton styling with a modern twist: it's machine washable. Working with British Millerain, we designed this fabric to be tossed into a washing machine without losing any of its great qualities.
There's nothing like the classic ruggedness of waxed cotton. The only drawback is the time-consuming process of cleaning by hand after you've had it in the field a few times. We worked with the originator of waxed cotton, British Millerain, to develop this innovative fabric that eliminates all cleaning fuss. Just throw it in the wash like any other piece of clothing. It'll come out looking just as good and with all of its durability and water resistance 100% intact.

Not what I Expected
Not what I expected. Not suitable for my intended use. Vest is well made. That is the reason I gave it a 2 instead of a 1. The vest is amazingly heavy. Not something lightweight which I can throw on and go walking. Obviously just made for the hunter. The fabric is stiff and non yielding. Given this the buttons are difficult to operate. For the hunter this is a great vest. For the cruise / motorcycle rider this is a non-starter. I’ll probably donate my vest to the Goodwill.

Poor stitching in shoulders
I bought one shoulder sewing ripped on 2 time out, they replaced it 1st hunt it ripped again ,I have a old on ,25 years old it's fine just a little small ,where did the Craftsman shop go.

Brown upland waxed cotton vest.
This is not a lightweight vest. It is heavy and heavy duty as well. Much improved features over the lighter weight nylon version I’ve been using for over 20 years and doesn’t fit so well now. Water bottle holders and more useful pockets. I also do not like blaze orange on my vest which this one doesn’t have. I use a blaze hat and bandannas to be be legal and seen when necessary but in this strange world there are times when I prefer to watch my surroundings and not attract attention.
This is not a budget vest but if you can deal with the weight, this is a vest that your grand children will likely pass on to theirs. I would’ve probably bought the nylon version again had it been available without the blaze shoulders.

Love the vest
This was a man's small vest but it still fits. I love it. I can take all my stuff when I am out with the dogs. It has an unbelievable number of pockets. Well made. The pockets are strategic, large. Well designed. I highly recommend it.
