Down seems lacking
For 850 fill this jacket seems way less puffy than they used to. This is the 5th one of these I've purchased for my partner over the past 18 years. He's very disappointed with how thin it seems especially compared with his previous Bean down jackets of the same style. Will try the dryer and tennis ball trick to see if it "puffs up" at all. Instead of ultralight, maybe it should be titled Ultrathin. This seems more like a down sweater than a down jacket.

Light weight and great for all outdoor activities.
I was fortunate I found this jacket on sale. LL Bean has always been know for its quality. I look forward to wearing it.
