We've taken our rugged ripstop shorts to the next level of comfort with an ultrasoft feel, a touch of stretch and a soft-knit elastic waistband.

  • Mid-Rise: Sits below waist.
  • Slightly fitted through hip and thigh.
  • Inseam: 10".
  • In a durable ripstop blend of 98% cotton with 2% spandex for just the right amount of stretch.
  • Machine wash and dry.
  • Faux-fly front.
  • Side pockets and two back patch pockets with snaps.
  • Comfortable knit waistband with adjustable drawstring.
  • Roll from 10" to 7" inseam and secure with twill roll tabs and snaps.

I have worn two pairs of casual shorts for years and loved them, although I always felt that they were just a tad too short, especially now that I'm in my 70's. I went looking for a new pair and found these from LL Bean, one of my favorite companies. These are just the right length; they are mostly cotton; they wash well; they feel great; and I feel great in them. I bought the khaki and the navy versions, and I'll never buy any shorts but these. Thank you Bean for reading my mind!
