Our most comfortable PFD for the kayaker, this coast guard-approved life jacket is designed specifically for the high-back seats found on most recreational kayaks. It will allow the freedom of movement you need to paddle comfortably.
Because most life jackets aren't very comfortable to wear while seated, people tend to use them as seats or strap them onto the deck of their boat. The Comfort Back PFD is so comfortable you'll want to keep it on while sitting in your kayak seat. You'll barely feel the thin foam between your back and the seat.

Surprisingly Uncomfortable
Maybe it's me (because I love LL Bean stuff) but I found this to be nothing like the description. It's quite boxy and hard to zip. Glad I kept the tags on because there is no way this is going add to my kayaking enjoyment. All I could envision was frustration. Back it goes ASAP.

unsafe and poor quality
The first time my son wore this to swim in a deep lake the zipper fell down while swimming. Previous vests had an elastic loop to prevent the zipper from falling down. Also, it has no buckle at the bottom like previous versions. On inspection, the zipper comes down exteremely easily and without the bottom buckle strape the vest could easily fall off. I do not recomment this vest. Exteremely dissappointed as I had loved my LLBean PFD but the quality definetly went downhill.
