We wanted to create a classic cable-knit sweater that could be worn in any season. So we designed ours with premium cotton yarns to make it as comfortable as it is versatile.
Our favorite part of this Irish-inspired fisherman's sweater is the authentic stitchwork - it gives it rich texture and a timeless look. We also love how the all-cotton construction easily spans the seasons and layers comfortably.

Beautiful and warm
NJ: it is warm and I was able to wear it for evenings out as a top layer (LL Bean long-sleeved T-shirt under) in the past couple of weeks. The knit is chunky and the pattern attractive. It reminds me of the handknitted Aran sweaters my mom made us as kids, so I guess there's some sentimentality there too.

Great purchase!
Well made fisherman’s sweater. Very classy and comfortable. Definitely not an ugly Christmas sweater. Love the color as well: easy to match with most trousers. I already machine washed it (delicate cycle, cold) and laid it flat to dry. No regrets on this purchase.

Great sweater
As always, L.L.Bean delivers. I grew up in New England and have been wearing L.L.Bean clothing for over 50 years. The Signature Cotton Fisherman Crewneck Sweater is a staple in my closet. I now make my home in the PNW, where I have lived for 35 years. I own 5 of these sweater and love them all. Great fit, super warm, and classically stylish. If you are looking for a great sweater that is durable and stylish, buy one! L.L.Bean is second to no one. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. To me they are worth every penny.
