Poor quality
The top loop ripped after 1 week of use. The shoulders straps started to rip and fray after 2 months. It made it through the school year, but will need to be tossed due to wear and tear. Previously had this bag and it lasted my child 3 years. The quality had definitely declined.

water bottle pockets need improvement
We bought this backpack to last all of middle school. Unfortunately, the mesh water bottle pockets developed holes within just a few months. Mesh pockets are not sturdy. Please consider making the pockets out of the same durable fabric as the backpack for all sizes of bags.

Needs some UPDATES!
I watch year after year go by with the same customer reviews and complaints and have yet to see the updates that would make this the perfect backpack. I love this backpack, EXCEPT it really does need the following improvements (which are the major complaints);
1. It needs better reinforced stiching for the grab handle. A padded handle would improve this part tremendously also. 2. It needs better water bottle pockets. The mesh is too fragile and tears very easily. Being this is advertised for school, we all know how rough kids can be! 3. The should straps are too close together where they connect at the top of the backpack, leading to the rubbing on the neck. C,mon LLB, listen to your customer base!!! These are real issues and this would be the GOAT of all backpacks with those improvements!! The layout and material of this backpack is the best otherwise and love that it is not too long on the torso for us shorter people
