Won't stay up if pockets are used.
No matter how much I cinched them up with drawstring (stretchy), I could not put anything in the pockets without them coming down. Will be returning.

Best shorts ever
Best shorts ever!! I love the fit, lightweight fabric, and they’re the perfect length. I’m 5’9”, 165lbs, and got the medium. They don’t ride up or gap in the waistband. They’re perfect for the summer heat in FL. I wish they came in more colors, like burgundy, rust, royal blue. Thanks LLBean for making this pair of shorts!

Great Fit
Needed shorts for a hiking trip and started ordering elsewhere. None fit right! Then tried llbean and these fit like a dream! I have a curvy figure and the cut of these shorts was perfect. No waist gap, great stretch. There aren’t many shorts that I put on that look slimming. These did for me! I typically wear 10-12. I tried medium and large (because I can’t remember the last time a medium of anything fit my hips!), and found medium fit perfectly.

This pair needs to go back to the drawing board
Not a good short. The ties are made of elastic so when you pull them to tie they only stretch without tightening. Luckily I know how to sew so I replaced them with another corded one.

Great shorts for hiking !
Bought these shorts to hike in. They’re fantastic! Wore them to hike a smaller mountain then one of NH 4,000 footers and they were very comfortable the entire 8+ mile hike. Never riding up!

Not durable
Love them for their comfort, but they pill so badly. I have never put them in the dryer and cold water wash, but they are so pilled I only wear them for gardening now. It's a shame since they tick all the other boxes for me.

worth every penny
My husband and I did a very rigorous hike a few weeks ago and these shorts held up! I never had to adjust them b/c of riding up. I highly recommend, the only thing I suggest is to size down.
