More rustic than online pic shows
Heavy, 20 lb off white wall coat rack. Bought the model with the medium-tone wood top. Disappointed how rough the wood top looks as opposed to the varnished smooth finish of the online pictures. Wood edge on left side of top is not smooth at all (deep grooves) and differs from the right side. Keeping it but think the all off-white version would be better in any non-farmhouse setting. Have a walnut ceiling in my 1923 Craftsman bungalow porch with a white wood bench; off white of shelf is obvious. Workmanship is very good. It arrived in a bashed up box and was marginally wrapped (a wad of packing paper on 1 side of product only, with a thin wrap of foam sheeting around shelf- could never reuse that box it was so damaged). Remarkable that the shelf was not damaged with such poor packing. Good product but know that glossy marketing pictures may exaggerate the polish of the actual product finish.
