PERFECT
I have a problem with jeans because most of my extra weight is in my upper hips. Not that bad, really--about 130 pounds, five feet five inches. But man, I can't wear skinny or straight-legged jeans without looking WIDE at the hips. When I get the right size for my hips the waist is too big and slides down.
As soon as I put these size 8 jeans on in the store and looked in the three-way mirror, I felt elated. Snug perfect fit, soft comfortable fabric, the "boyfriend" fit allows me to roll the cuffs if I want to, the waist sits just below my natural waist--in other words, PERFECT. I wore these jeans to a family thanksgiving dinner with a white button down shirt and a black cashmere crewneck and felt I had found the perfect balance between casual and elegant. I have to force myself not to wear them every single day! They were "signature" so they were more expensive than I'm used to--but worth it! By the way, I'm 72 years old.

Near miss on perfect
Great quality and color. The fit was perfect in store, and after washing and drying but the jeans stretched out quite a bit after wearing- especially in the knees. For the price I expected more of a "snap back" in the knee area. Would still recommend though.

Slouchy and Soft
Wonderfully soft fabric that has enough stretch for comfort without that painted-on look. At 5'3", 127 lbs I took a size 4 as per size chart, and the fit was identical to how the jeans look in the product photos. Ideally I'd take a petite size, but only regular length was available so I had to get them hemmed. I like that the pantlegs are sufficiently wide to accommodate my very muscular calves, yet overall they are a classic slim/straight jean. That's a rare find. They ought to be timeless in terms of style... neither trendy-skinny nor trendy-wide. Being short-waisted, the lower rise is perfect and looks like mid-rise on me. My one complaint is that the jeans really bag out after a half hour of wear. I was afraid to size down, fearing I'd be stuck with unflattering super-tight pants, but these which look perfect when first getting dressed end up being loose and baggy for the rest of the day. Particularly for such expensive jeans, I would have expected that what I see at try-on is what I get; not playing guessing games how they will fit after an hour of wear when it's too late to exchange for a smaller size.

Signature Organic Boyfriend Low Rise Jeans
Honestly, I have not opened or worn them yet. I totally trust the product, size, and quality. I buy MORE of these when they become available confident they will fit and preform Not always available, so I search for them constantly and buy when I can. I've never been disappointed!! Love LLBean!!
