Product Details
In a class all its own, our revolutionary 850 coat defies cold, wet weather - and comparison. We combined all the best outerwear technology - innovative DownTek fill, 850-fill-power and a Pertex Quantum nylon shell - for unbeatable performance.
We start with premium 850 down, which provides more warmth for its weight, and then treat it with revolutionary DownTek that allows our jackets to do what many others can't. Unlike ordinary untreated down that soaks up moisture, ours repels water and dries faster so it stays light, lofty and comfortable, longer.

Beautiful
I usually wear a large but a friend told me they run big so I got a medium and fit perfect. I would've given it a 5 but there was a lot of feathers in the inside that clung to my clothes. So sprayed it with hair spray which did the trick.

2nd Time
This is my second time around on this coat. The zipper broke on my first one and the repair made it too small. I purchased a second one but with the hood as there was no other option. Liked it well enough for a repeat buy!

Ultralight 850 Down Coat
Bought as a gift for a very picky, often cold, and physically challenged (extreme scoliosis) family member. She LOVED it! Elegant styling, very light (which is important) easy to get on and off, zipper, etc. Purchased the grey color which has undertones of a bluish purple. We got the petite medium to accommodate her tiny frame and short stature and it fit perrectly!

Ultralight 850 Down Hooded Coat, Three-Quarter Len
Wonderful light weight winter coat! I already have the long version for beach walks in the winter and needed a shorter one for around town. This is a great looking coat that is incredibly warm.

Poor quality
Poor quality of outer shell; it ripped after a half dozen times wearing it. I’ve sent it back. For 300 dollars!

Quality/Price mistach
I have an 850 down in a gorgeous plum color that I purchased in 2015. I wore that coat for more than 4 dozen business trips. I loved how warm it was, how stylish (dressy enough for work), and how easily it could be rolled up and packed in a medium-sized purse. I washed it multiple times per year, and it was a real champ; not ripping, not shedding feathers (it was actually DOWN--not feathers) and always looked like new. Still does. The only issue is the zipper broke and the stitching along the zipper is starting to tear--which is understandable given the coat has been on planes, trains. and automobiles, as well as multiple washings, over the course of a decade.
When the zipper broke, I decided to get another identical coat. I noticed the new ones have a hood, which I could take or leave. (Although the hood is convenient, it makes it look like an old "schlepping around" coat--definitely not something that can be used for dressier occasions or if you work in a more upscale environment. Still, I could live with that.
But what I can't live without is the utter lack of quality: It has zero shape (my old one provided a nice, slim silhouette); the material is not even CLOSE to as durable as my old coat; and the zipper is cheap.
I could even live with these deficiencies IF the price was reflective of the lower quality. It is not. I am not paying $300 for a piece of junk. Returned.

Ultralight 850 Down 3/4 length coat
Good winter weather protection but a few uses, the down feathers are already starting to come out. I am considering returning the coat for this reason.
