Light weight Down Comforter
This LL Bean comforter was purchased for use in an AC cooled bedroom (~68 degrees) during our New England summers. This comforter weight/warmth has been great for both of us, the quality overall is excellent and zero down has escaped through the cotton cover. Many reviews mention a crinkling noise from the cover, it is true and somewhat annoying at first, but now four weeks later it is nearly gone. We have two other down comforters form LL Bean, a spring/fall weight and a hard core winter weight, and both started out with the crinkling but the noise was completely gone after couple of months for both of them. One final note is the fact that we have had these two down comforters for many years and they are still in great shape and performing well, we expect the same for this new comforter.

Organic cotton down comforter
I love this comforter! The cotton shell is a little bit crinkly, but not a deal breaker. I called to ask LL Bean if the comforter contained responsibly sourced down, and they said it did. They should put that in the product description.

It was too thinly stuffed and the covering felt and sounded crunchy probably because the thread count was high enough to prevent feathers escaping.
