Good Not Great Lined Rag Sweater A Good Value 4 $
I returned 1st sweater due to several defects in the wool weave. Replacement was defect-free. Better name for Bean's "natural" color is "oatmeal," spot-on color I wanted. Heavyweight garment with 2 exteror hand pockets is more like a substantial jacket than a sweater; too bulky to layer comfortably beneath a wool or corduroy sport coat. Light flannel lining makes it only marginally warmer than without, & friction from it against shirt sleeves makes it a chore to get on & take off, but does reduce scratchiness of rag wool. Lining does not extend into neck area where it's needed most, so bare rag is very scratchy against neck & face when excellent brass YKK zipper is all the way up. Like all rag wool, it's pretty warm but soon stretches out even at ribbed cuffs & waist. With discount & $-off coupon, was a good value despite some downsides. I have another same-weight but unlined Bean rag wool sweater in different color & style, & its quality materials & construction have weathered the years really well. Both 4 out of 5 stars.

Warm and stylish
Well made and looks good. Nice warm lining. I got the small size but as usual, even that is a little large on me. I ignored the cleaning instructions and shrank it with a hot water wash. Now it fits just right.
