LL Bean's Decline in Quality, I Am Disappointed
I purchased this belt in both black and brown at the Kingston, New York LL Bean store on 5/16/2025. I based my purchase decision off of the things that I have heard about LL Bean's commitment to quality, their warranty, and I viewed these belts as items that I could have for years to come. Within two weeks of working and using my belt daily, the holes have become stretched, the entire belt has become concave due to the belt stretching, and the belt no longer fits as when it was purchased. I now have two belts that I am already looking for replacements from that cost me almost $100. I work hard to make $100 and I tend to save and buy high quality items that do not require chronic replacement.
The belts are genuine full grain leather, but they are produced much too thin for anything other than an accessory to an outfit. When purchasing I assumed that people still wear LL Bean for physical activities and customers tend to choose higher quality goods that last longer. These belts look good I guess until the holes get stretched out, but they are less functional than a belt from a big box store for $10.
If you buy them make sure to buy a leather hole puncher because youll have to continuously make new holes if you do anything physical. I started at the 4th hole when i bought them LOL.

Ambiguous product description
The product description did not say whether the size was "up to 37-38", or "37-38 and up". Ordering it, I guessed wrong: what I had needed was "up to 37-38, so that as the leather stretched I could tighten it to 36. What I got was "37-38 and up", so I could not tighten it when needed. In the event, I took it to a shoemaker, who punched additional holes in it.

Just awful
I have worn previous versions of this belt for many years, but needed a different size. The leather face began peeling off this one the first time I wore it, and the fraying has continued without stopping.
