Good, but not Great (like it used to be)
This is my second LL Bean Pea Coat. First one was well over 10 years old, and was heavy, and extremely warm. The new one is not as heavy, but still pretty warm. Only complaint, so far, is that all 3 of the interior buttons came loose, and fell off, after wearing it 5 or 6 times. Took it to a tailor to sew them back on. So far, no regrets, but like everything else, just not as great as it used to be. Purchased Large Tall

Buttons fall off!!
I really wanted a peacoat and this one looked amazing. I don't normally spend almost $500 (Canadian dollars) on a coat, but I went ahead with this one. As I've seen in numerous reviews here since, the buttons keep getting loose and a couple have fallen off entirely and I've worn the coat maybe 5 times. I love the look of the coat, but it makes me question how long this coat will hold up over time as well, because if something as basic as properly sewing buttons on a coat doesn't get done properly, what else is going to give?

The perfect coat
This is my favorite coat, period. I wear it to work with dress clothes or on the town with some jeans and my llbean Chamois Shirt for a more rugged look.
It fits perfectly, is incredibly warm and comfortable, and is a versatile coat.
I know people are complaining that the black color is more of a dark charcoal, but this is honestly perfect for me, so I appreciate the extra feedback from reviewers.
Again, this coat is perfect. Purchase it if you want a versatile, rugged piece for your wardrobe.

Great coat!
This is a great and well constructed coat! I am getting a lot of complements wearing it! Nothing keeps you warmer than wool! I ended up buying a 2XLT. I am 6'2” and weigh 250lbs. It fits a little loose but that is how I like it.

I occasionally need something dressier than my barn coat. This not only fits the bill for shirt and tie, it casual enough for jeans. Quality build, fit is great, and it is warm!
