Made from premium stretch denim, with state-of-the-art S GENE® technology, the breakthrough fabric "remembers" its shape for superior retention. While the average recovery of other stretch denim is around 70% (leaving plenty of room for bagging and sagging), True Shape recovers 93% of its original shape (ensuring a great fit all day, every day). These jeans will follow your every move and look just as good at the end of the day as they did when you first put them on.

Waist measurement is way small.
I have 3 pair of size 4 of the trufit, high waist, straight leg jeans. Gained a bit of weight, so ordered the size 6. The waist band on the size 6 measures 1\8th of an inch bigger than the size fours that I have. I really think these would be a good fit for me right now, if the waist band had been a true size 6 measurement. I give up. There is no universe where a size up measures only 1/8 th of an inch larger.

New Version for Women's Jeans
The jeans I purchased on line were not what I thought I was purchasing. There was spandex in the material and much too long. I have aways enjoyed the regular high-wasted jeans. The new version is of poor quality and a poor cut. Not worth the LL Bean name. I would not recommend this version for someone over 40.

These are good-quality Jeans, but if you are ordering from the catalog, be careful with the size—regular and wide are considerably different.

Cut or sizing different
I've worn these jeans since 2018. My rinsed jeans are a 6 m/t, except this time. After reading several reviews I ordered size 8 m/t. They were tighter than my other pairs, even the one I've only worn two or three times. They were also shorter than my other pairs. I'm hoping the 10 will fit or I may reorder the 8 until a pair fits. Unfortunately mass produced clothing is often slightly off in sizing. I experienced this with the black ones also.

Keeps their shape
I have never written a review for clothing. However, I appreciate when others do which influences my purchase. I was going on a long trip to Europe and had to pack lightly without laundry facilities . Most of my current denim stretches out by the end of the day and looks sloppy so I decided to try these. I purchased two pairs to bring on my trip. They kept their shape, looked clean and neat and were extremely comfortable. Great purchase! In fact, I want to purchase more before they change the style. Hard to find real denim these days.
