Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926, and we've made them better than ever before. We added a more flexible insole and upgraded the foam underfoot for immediate comfort right out of the box. A new leather sock liner molds to your foot over time for custom comfort and a barefoot feel. And new, high-quality leathers that start out comfy and get better the more you wear them.

Purchased 2 or 3 weeks ago, would not purchase again, shoes look nice, but feel rough on inside and feel every little stone I step on, should have gotten lined shoes with thicker soles, thicker socks help

very good shoes. taking longer than expected to break in. thats ok, theyre well built.im used to a cheaper brand that had lower quality leather. this leather is a bit thicker thus the longer break in period.i love them

All-time favorite shoes
I have been wearing LL Bean boat mocs for fifty years; and, whenever I try some other shoe, I come back to Bean’s! The life-cycle of boat moc’s for me is always the same. First, it a dressy casual shoe; next it’s an everyday shoe; and, finally they become my outdoor work shoes. One caution, these shoes are made to last; and for that reason expect a break-in period.
