For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

So light but so warm
This is the perfect jacket for the transitional seasons when you can never determine if it's too cold or too warm. I love that it feels light, but it keeps you really warm. I wear it all the time. I also like all of L.L.Bean's items in black watch tartan.

Really did not like how stiff this quilted shirt jacket is; it can stand up by itself even after washing several times.
The one that was purchased two years prior is a much more comfortable shirt. Do not like the snaps instead of buttons.
Purchased through website; if seen in person I would not have purchased; please bring back the original.
